[gui-talk] laptop recommendations, please

Hello Denise,

The battery life on my MSI Wind with the 6-cell battery is almost five
hours. That's with wireless turned on, Bluetooth turned off and the screen
brightness set to its lowest possible level. The Wind has a card reader and
three USB ports. It also features an ethernet port and a VGA connector for
video output to an external monitor. You really can't do much better at this
stage. :-) Netbooks do not have CD-ROM or similar optical drives, due to
their limited size, but USB works quite nicely for this purpose.

hi,
io'm just curious for someone who might know, what is the battery life when
running a screen reader on these computers? are they bluetooth enabled or do
they have usb ports for connecting braille displays cd or dvd drives?
thanks.

The Acer Aspire One is a good buy for around $349.00 in most places.
It's very small, just about 2 pounds in weight and runs with Window-Eyes
just fine.

Good luck.
