Albert, In Real Player, the buffering time is set for about a minute. I don't know how to set that in Winamp. My speeds really vary. I got 1mb per second when I downloaded JAWS and much less when I have downloaded talking books, anywhere from 250 to 750kpbs when I download NLS talking books.
