[gui-talk] google has changed and searches are now difficult

I haven't read the whole thread yet, but have the following comments:

If you can't backspace or alt-left-arrow out of a page, it is because a new
window or tab has opened in your browser and this is the first page for
that new window.

You didn't tell us which browser and screen reader versions you are
using. I think you were using Window-Eyes at one time.

Also, are you getting to Google by going to
   www.google.com
or
   www.google.com/ie
or what? You can set up Google to be the search provider in the box you
access with ctrl-E. Or it may be a link from a home page produced by your
ISP, in which case they may have done all sorts of things to the Google
search. Many pieces of software, when you get an update, offer to install
the Google toolbar, the Yahoo toolbar, etc. I reject all such
offers. Google Desktop Search can also get in the way of normal browser
behavior, in my experience.

I think we just need a little more information.
