OK.  Here is the problem I have.  I have a hearing loss.

I know that even native English speakers have a wide variety of accents.  I 
have trouble with people with a very different who talk fast or mumble. 
This applies to people with my own accent but is compounded by people who 
speak fast with a very different accent.  I am basically trying to decode 
more than one thing at once.  Sometimes, it is just a matter of slowing down 
and speaking very distinctly.
