Greetings all –

The House Appropriations Committee met yesterday but only took action on 6
bills. Our bill wasn’t on that list.

The committee is scheduled to meet again at 7:30 on Friday. So far, our
bill isn’t on the list they will consider, but it could be.

The final day of the legislature is May 13. Time is short! We need to keep
pouring it on. If you haven’t yet sent your email to the committee members,
we need you to do so ASAP! Rideshare denials must carry consequences!

To make it easy, here’s the blurb and the emails again:

Dear Appropriations Committee member

I am an NFB member from (YOUR TOWN) and I urge you to pass HB26-1043
immediately. We can’t continue to tolerate the discrimination of rideshare
drivers leaving blind people standing at the curb for just $50,000.

If you have been denied tell them so.

Now, if this email thing seems like too much, simply call the
Appropriations committee chair, Kyle Brown at 303-866-2920 and leave him a
voice mail with the info above.

It’s time for action!
