Dishon -

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns.

I want you to know I take this issue seriously. Everyone deserves safe and
reliable transportation, and I understand why this is so important.

I haven't had the chance to fully review HB26-1043 yet, so before I take a
position, I want to make sure I understand the full details of the bill.
>From what I know, both Uber and Lyft already have policies that require
drivers to accept riders with service animals. That said, how those policies
are followed in practice is something worth looking at.

I appreciate you taking the time to write in, and I will keep your concerns
in mind as I review the bill.

Warm regards,

Rick

Dear Rick Taggart, ,

I am a member of the National Federation of the Blind, and I urge you to
pass HB26-1043 immediately.

We cannot continue to tolerate discrimination from rideshare drivers who
leave blind people standing at the curb. I have personally been denied
service at least four times by Uber and Lyft. This is unacceptable, and it
cannot continue to be how either of these companies operate.

Blind Coloradans deserve equal access to transportation, dignity, and
accountability when discrimination happens. HB26-1043 is a common-sense step
forward that will help ensure rideshare companies take these incidents
seriously and provide a clear reporting process.

Please support and pass HB26-1043 without delay.

Sincerely,

Dishon Spears
Littleton, Colorado
