I took Bustang to Fort Collins Thursday afternoon. I had three tickets left that Ace Transportation did not renew (I am working with Ace now on that issue and may comprehend why Ace could not extend my tickets before they expired). I could not purchase a ticket with the app. I had to purchase a ticket using a web browser. This is because I Bustang wanted me to select my seat. I am hoping the site is accessible. The operator took my temperature before boarding. A passenger did ask if they could take off their mask; I thought I heard the operator say, “Don’t let me catch ya.”

I am sharing the below article "Bustang to roll across Colorado again after a 3-month COVID-19 suspension of service <https://www.denverpost.com/2020/06/26/coronavirus-covid-bustang-outrider-bus-colorado/>” from the 26 June 2020 edition of The Denver Post; the article is by John Aguilar.

The popular statewide Bustang bus service will resume service this weekend, with buses rolling across Colorado highways for the first time since the service was suspended due to COVID-19 at the end of March.

Bustang’s Outrider service, which serves many far-flung areas in the state, will resume Sunday, while weekday service on the more heavily traveled Bustang routes picks back up Monday. Visit ridebustang.comfor specific route, schedule and fare information.

The Colorado Department of Transportation, which operates the service, is putting in place a number of cautionary measures to deal with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. They include certain seats being blocked off to keep Bustang buses at a 22-passenger maximum and Outrider buses at a 16-passenger maximum.

Face masks will be required for drivers and passengers, and drivers will be issued additional personal protective equipment. Passengers will be offered hand sanitizer wipes when boarding.
“We have carefully monitored when to safely resume serving our Bustang and Outrider customers and are doing so now, with significant precautions in place that follow guidance and best practices from public health officials,” said CDOT Executive Director Shoshana Lew. “We ask passengers to purchase tickets in advance, to the extent possible, so that we can minimize physical interactions with drivers and maximize social distancing.”
