Hello Aurora Chapter and Federation Family Members, Instead of having our usual chapter meeting on the fourth Saturday of the month, we will meet this Saturday, December 20th at Sam's III in Aurora for a Aurora Chapter Christmas Party!!! We will be celebrating both, the holiday season as well as our first year together as a chapter. We will meet this Saturday at Sam's III located in Aurora, at 2580 South Havana Street near Yale Avenue, from 3pm until 6pm. We plan to have a few drawings for some Sam's III gift cards and a Fifty-Fifty Raffle for a little added excitement and fund raising for the chapter. I also hope to have some "2015" braille and print calendars, NFB Pins and some other little goodies depending on if you were naughty or nice...lol! In all seriousness, I need all members to please bring your remaining NFB pins and all proceeds from the sale of them to the party so we can get an accurate accounting of both, pens and proceeds. I hope that you find this time and location to be convenient, we chose this time and location because it is an easy location to access from the 105 and 83 bus, and it was the best time for them to accommodate us and it also happen to be Happy Hour during that time, which offers us some great deals on both food and drinks for those of us on a tight holiday budget.
I know that we all are very busy during this time of year with such things as shopping, traveling, and making plans to spend with friends and family. We are simply asking that you take out a little time from your busy schedules to fellowship with your federation family to celebrate the holiday season and our achievements as a chapter.
Remember, family, friends and guest are welcomed to join us!
