Hello Everett

I do not have connections with folks on the Transportation Legislation Review Committee. I am serving on the DRMAC membership committee and nominating committee which deals with Denver Regional Mobility. I am also goign to start attending the state transit planning committee meetings in hopes of obtaining a board position. I am happy to start workign to make these connections fi you can point me in the right direction. If this is already something that you guys in the springs are taking care of then that is FANTASTIC as well!!! Just let me know what i shoudl be doing!

Also, I have not found the tug rope yet. If it does not surface soon I will let Brent know that we need to replace it for you guys. I know that won't be a problem.

Best Wishes

Jess

Do we have connections with people on Colorado's "Transportation Legislation Review Committee?"
These sound like some guys we should get to know better, if we don't already.

I urge more of us here in the Springs region to, please, make the effort to go to our cities various transportation meetings, and let your concerns be heard. It can and does make a difference. Here's the latest meeting I'm aware of, here in Colorado Springs, next week:

State lawmakers will be in Colorado Springs early next week to hear about transportation issues from local residents.
The Transportation Legislation Review Committee, made of 18 lawmakers, will be in town from 1:30 to 3 p.m.,Tuesday, Aug. 20, at the Gallogly Events Center at UCCS, 1420 Austin Bluffs Parkway.
During the past 10 years, the committee has proposed 55 bills approved by the state Legislative Council and 47 of those bills became law.
The committee visited Northern Colorado in July and will travel to Western Colorado in September. Then, the group will resume hearings at the state Capitol and will start drafting legislation for the 2014 General Assembly session.
"This statewide tour will serve to educate lawmakers and citizens alike about the crisis we are facing with the conditions of our roads and bridges," said Sen. Rollie Heath, a Boulder Democrat and vice-chairman of the committee. "This is a great opportunity Coloradans who may live hours away from the Capitol to have their voices heard."

	Strive On!
