[CCCNFBW] Chapter meeting summary

Good morning, below you will find a summary of the chapter meeting from last Saturday. I also want to let you know that I will be contacting everyone to update contact details we have on file for everyone.

A representative from C tran joined our chapter meeting at the school to discuss the upcoming vine rapid transit project on Mill plain  For one hour, we were able to listen to the detailed plan of the project as well as had opportunities to ask questions and get clarification on certain subjects. Discussion followed after the presentation in our chapter meeting

Jamie Herrera Butler was reelected to the third district house of representatives, we will continue to work clothes with her on issues that impact our community as well as to help her understand our philosophy

The holiday raffle is upon us: we are currently selling tickets priced at one ticket for five dollars or five tickets for $20. The drawing will take place on December 8 and people have a chance to win a $200 Best Buy card, second drawing is for a $100 Amazon card. If you need further details or would like a hard copy of raffle tickets, please contact myself or President Grandstaff. Please note: we are able to take credit card payments over the phone, also contact me if you need assistance

We are in need of volunteers for the NFB bowling event with the school for the blind students on November 29, all volunteers must have completed background checks with the score in order to participate. Please let us know if you’re interested

We are beginning to plan for the 2019 wine and cheese fundraiser, please contact Bob sellers if you are interested in assisting with the planning.

Lastly, the chapter holiday party will take place on December 8 at 12 PM at the round table Pizza on Millplain in Vancouver. Chapter members who have paid their dues will receive five dollars off the price of their buffet.
