[Cccnfbw] Possible fundraiser at Burgerville

The hours for the fundraiser are 5pm to 8pm.  The charity I supported that did this in July raised almost $200.  They had their fundraiser on a Sunday evening not Friday as Bob stated in the original email.
The idea is for the charity to generate customers to Burgerville through their contacts, social media posts, etc.  This is only a 3 hour commitment
requiring 2 volunteers.  Any money we raise is pure profit to us and is more money than we had before.  This fundraiser does NOT require flyers to be passed out at THIS location.  Different Burgerville locations have different requirements that's why I inquired at this specific location.

When we had our Saturday brain storming session several months ago it was discussed how we could get out in the community and let people know about the blind and National Federation of the Blind.  This would be an excellent activity to do in October, Meet the Blind Month.

The piano hospital did this. We did not make a lot of money. We did not get the best time slot. I don’t know how it is determined what time period the fund raiser covers.

Hello,

Julie informed me about a possible fundraiser we might do at Burgerville.

She saw another organization doing it at the Burgerville near Hwy 99 and NE 99 th St.

Apparently an organization gets 10 percent of the sales between certain hours on a certain day.

The event Julie saw was on a Friday between the hours of 5 pm and 8 pm.

Also, donation jars can be displayed.

This is something that might fit into ‘Meet the Blind’ month activity. It is something were we can get our friends and family to participate in.

Perhaps Julie can share some of her thoughts and knowledge about the activity.

This is something we can discuss at our next chapter meeting.
