Unfortunately there is no system for getting menus brailled in Washington state. The Department of Services for the Blind (DSB) does not do this. I believe that the Seattle lighthouse will braille menus if the restaurant requests them.

The subject asks the question.

We went to Outback last night, and their braille menus are way old. What is
the process for helping restaurants to get their menus brailled.

In Idaho, the Idaho Commission For The Blind has taken on that project and
getting them done through the brailling program in the prison system. There
is a point person to send new menus to.

Does WA state have anything like that?

Thanks.

Judy
