[NFBWATLK] Solar Eclipse

Becky,

All our prayers are with you and Kevin. Cancer is really tough.

As for crickets, I was listening for them during the eclipse. No change.
We only had an 83% eclipse here in British Columbia. I was told that
changes weren't visible to the unequipped observer until 90% eclipse. My
daughter watched from our second floor balcony and said it was a nothing
burger. Those with special glasses could see a Pacman bite out of the sun.

I was fascinated by the science and awed by the spiritualism of the
experience, even though it was a cyber experience from far away. I've
always been fascinated by weather, especially hurricanes and tornados. I'm
sorry I wasn't around when Mt. St. Helens blew its top!

Crickets? We have crickets in Washington? None at my home in Mason County.
Where are there crickets in WA?

Warmly,
Becky

I love your sentiments and pray for recovery for Kevin. I, too, felt it was
a special time with God. The confused crickets came out and sang, then quit
once the sun started coming out attain.

I sat on my deck and enjoyed the eclipse. To me it was like putting on
tinted glasses as the sky sort of changed color, but it certainly wasn't
dark. The birds were puzzled and I didn't hear any singing. Everything got
incredibly quiet, incredibly peaceful. I sang to the Lord quietly thanking
Him for unifying this troubled nation for only something He could pull off.
What a beautiful time I had. In this peaceful Holy time, I asked Him to let
Kevin's surgery go smoothly, and it did.

You see things have been upside down. So, these peaceful moments are truly
treasured by me. Read on if you want a very brief idea what is going on.

Kevin got diagnosed with cancer. Soon after that his guide dog had to be put
down. Soon after that my guide dog got diagnosed with cancer. Soon after
that, Kevin had a horrendous fall and was in the hospital and then rehab
from June 13 to July 15. He is staying in a hospital bed in our living room.
Now he is in the hospital for that cancer surgery. So, I am overwhelmed. If
I run away from home, can you find me a place to stay?

Wow, I use the app today and it was really cool! Plus I sat outside you know
I got a pair of those glasses and although my eyes are I'm not real there a
prosthetic, I felt a little burning I guess there are some nerves back there
so I put on the glasses and it felt better. Anyway I loved being outside. It
was great I could also feel the heat of the sun decreasing as they come as
it got darker. But the app was awesome! I'm kind of excited for when is it
2024 when the next one happens? If I'm still around that is. LOL. Anyway I
hope those of you who went outside enjoyed it.
