Subject: Tacoma TACID Peer Internships

TACID, or Tacoma Area Coalition for Individuals with Disabilities, is an organization using many peer services and programs.  TACID will offer Certified Peer Counselor Internships beginning August 2016. Although these are not paid positions, it is an opportunity for new CPCs to practice the skills they learned during CPC training to increase their employability. An internship is a great asset on a job application. Under supervision, CPC Interns will learn to support peers in their self-directed wellness and recovery journey through group facilitation, one-to-one peer support, strength identification, and wellness visioning. Internships are five hours per week for no longer than four months. Internship slots are limited. For an application or more information contact Mesa Winter at mesa at tacid.org  or (253) 565-9000. 
NOTE: Applications can be submitted before August 1st, 2016, for consideration.
