Here are Jessicas notes from our meeting Saturday.

National Federation of the BLIND of WASHINGTON. 

Snow King Chapter. 

April 9th, 2016 



The meeting was called to order by President Julie Warrington at 9:06 AM. 

The meeting began with introductions. Julie, Tom, Lisa, Zach, Tasha, Ben, Carol, Arwyn, Arick, Jessica, and Michael were all present. 

The presidential release was played. 

After the presidential release, a conversation was started regarding accessible voting machines within the state of Washington. It was determined there are 2 accessible machines in Snohomish, at the auditors office, and in the snow isle library. They open 19 days before the election, Monday-Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. They are equipped for those with auditory and visual impairments. 

Michael suggested we put together and post possible transportation options to help interested parties get to the voting locations.

The presidential release also announced that the NFB was creating new member cards, Julie expressed a wish to order some. 

Ben announced the treasury total is 659:66 dollars. 

The constitution was read by Ben, and approved. 

Ben urged those who are interested in attending the National Convention,  to call Marcy Carpenter, the Washington president if interested in possible funding. Time is running short, deadline April 15th.

Lisa suggested sending out a list of chapter goals so that chapter members can brainstorm ideas to meet those Goals. Julie proposed that a list serve be started for the chapter and said she would work on implementing it.
