[nfbwatlk] FW: Alaska Air jet exploration

This is interesting. I wish there were some way to change the customer
assistance services at the SeaTac airport so that asking for someone to walk
me through customs wouldn't automatically result in a person arriving with a
wheelchair. I gather that all passenger service people must keep a
wheelchair with them at all times. I get the concept that it's not
convenient to have to chase down a wheelchair when one is needed, but it's
not convenient for me to have to get very firm with some reps who cannot
seem to understand that I won't sit down in one! I've discovered that
they'll usually accept it if I throw my carry on bag into the chair. They
seem to be less impressed with the suggestion that they rest their aching
feet while I push them. Grin!
