Great Debby! That is so awesome. A sighted pre O and M specialist working at
the school for the blind was fascinated by a guy totally blind who walked
confidently all around the school, playground, parking lot when he took him
out on field trips just using tongue clicks. This is an amazing skill folks.
Now like I said they teach a very soft sharp tongue click kind of like
Debby's finger clicks, but soft. You want the echo off the objects around
you to orient yourself.

Wonder if they can help people like me who are deaf-blind, sy. Anyway, when
I used rudimentary Flash Sonar, I heard before I saw, over hangs, building,
cars parked, mailboxes.

So enjoy the gift called hearing folks.

I snap my fingers. Lol. Not having a cane with me when I travel with my
dog (though some people think I should), it's either my
tongue or my fingers. I have also been known to whistle. Lol.
Debby
