Greetings, Fellow Conventioneers.

Each year, the NFB of Washington convention votes on resolutions to determine its policies for the coming year. The resolutions are first brought to a Resolutions Committee to recommend "do pass" or "do not pass". If resolutions are given a "do pass" recommendation, they are brought to the floor of the convention for a vote. Even if resolutions are not given an affirmative recommendation by the Committee, they may be brought to the convention floor if a majority votes to do so.

This year, the Resolutions Committee will be chaired by Ben Prows of Kirkland. He will appoint the other members of the Committee. If you have resolutions to bring before the convention, please bring them in more-or-less final form to the Resolutions Committee meeting on Friday evening. They may be in print or Braille.

I hope all of you have made plans to attend the convention. You won't want to miss it!

Michael Freeman, President
National Federation of the Blind of Washington
