Hey all this is Kyle Woodard I just wanted to let all of you know about a
brand new magazine that has just started up which is run and operated by
the blind and is for the blind and friends of the blindness community. I am
including here a letter that was put in the blind post telling about this
magazine. Thanks much and best regards, Kyle Woodard

Blind Ambitions Groups is please to introduce Blind Ambitions Magazine
(BAM).

Blind Ambitions Magazine is a monthly periodical specifically written and
published for the blind, by the blind. Our Target audience is the blind,
visually impaired, the families of adults and children who are blind,
friends, neighbors, Vocational Rehab counselors, educators, employers,
government agencies, the more than twenty five million people in America,
Canada, and Mexico, who suffer from sight loss, and everyone who is
affected by sight issues. Each month, BAM will be packed full of features
focusing on timely topics and current events. Every monthly column will be
of these same topics but in the areas of: Accessibility, ADA Issues
affecting the blind, Bills and laws, Dating, Education, Employment and
entrepreneurship, family issues and concerns, fitness food and fun, Dog
Guides, Health, topics for kids, mobility, Politics, Senior Citizens,
support groups, Spirituality Matters, a spotlight on Employers and
companies hiring the blind, and transportation. There will be sections for
Art and music, entertainment, book reviews, opinions, poetry, stories from
your peers about their lives, and a Who’s Who of the blind that recognizes
the work and accomplishments of someone who is blind or contributes to the
assistance of the blind in their community. Every National event,
conference, and convention will be covered from meeting agendas, exhibit
halls, Guest speakers, and transportation and activities in the host city
in our Conference Coverage Section. Lastly, we have all met someone in
the blind community who may have mentored, assisted, trained, advised, or
were just a friend when we needed one the most. BAM wants to dedicate each
issue to the lasting memory of people like this who have left us. We call
it “In memory of and we recognize the accomplishments of these very
special people. There are too many topics that affect the blind and
visually impaired person and their family that we just don’t have room to
list every thing we plan on having inside BAM, so we have put an editorial
calendar on our website. This will give you an idea of what each issue will
be titled and the focus of the features and columns for each month. If you
have always thought you had a story that needed to be shared, an idea or
invention, or just a topic that might benefit the readers of Blind
Ambitions Magazine, Then send us your story or article to
publisher at blindambitionsmagazine.org so that we can read it and decide
where it best fits and for what issue. If you have a specific column or
issue in mind that you feel suits your story, let us know in the subject
line. (Example: Turkey roasting recipe article for November 2012 issue).
There will be an editorial copy deadline date below the focus highlights to
let you know when stories for each issue must be in our office to be
included. Photographs are welcome if they are specifically described for
the alternate text for the story. . Our website is
www.blindambitionsgroups.org. Once you are there, Select the Blind
Ambitions Magazine link and you will have full access to all that BAM has
to offer. For the manufacturers of products and services for the blind,
there will be opportunities to have display advertising throughout the
magazine from the front inside cover to the back cover. An advertising rate
card has been linked on the page for you along with the advertisement sizes
and dimensions so you can choose the size and price that most fit your
advertising budget. If you have never had a display advertisement before
and need one designed, our Multi Media Team will assist you in creating the
