The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) is an Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) program that is a database of college students and graduates with disabilities who are looking for internships and employment. Each year ODEP recruiters visit universities and colleges interviewing students with disabilities about their work experience, education and career path. They are rated on the interviews. That rating and the information about their degrees and other pertinent information are put into a database for use by federal agencies' and private sector employers' use in hiring the candidates. Here is a link so you can learn more. https://wrp.gov/LoginPre.do?method=login

Attached is a list of the universities recruiters will be going to this fall. Please spread the word about the program and dates and places interviews will take place. Appointments must be made, so students should contact their disabled student services coordinator about getting an appointment.

Thank you for helping spread the word about this program. If you have questions, please contact Sara Mahoney at Mahoney.Sara at dol.gov<mailto:Mahoney.Sara at dol.gov>.

Hi All,
Here is the list of schools we are going to for WRP this year. I think there are one or two schools that have dropped in the last week, but it is 99% accurate. Please feel free to distribute the list with those you feel it is appropriate for. It is also available on the Resource section of the WRP website at www.wrp.gov<http://www.wrp.gov/>. Please send this onto Mary Margaret as well. I don't seem to have her email address handy.

Best,
Sara

All,
Want to let you know that the Texas Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities has been partnering with the New Mexico Governor's Commission on People with Disabilities http://cdd.unm.edu/swconf/ and each States' University Centers on Excellence. There will be an Accessible Technology Track with Sharron Rush who has a company called Knowbility http://www.knowbility.org/ here in Austin. Then one evening, we are having Sight, Sound, Soul...featuring http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1857323231/sightsoundsoul-with-henry-butler Henry Butler, jazz musician who is blind, who plays while a sign language interpreter moves and a graphic artist paints, all audio described. Then we'll be featuring an Artist in Residence for each State. The Artist in Residence for Texas is John Bramblitt, who is a painter who is blind and does haptic readings http://bramblitt.net/ I'd like to encourage anyone from ODEP to attend...we are going to have a blast. Last year we had 950 people.
