Applaud Seattle City Councilmembers for Saying Yes to More Transportation
Choices

Earlier this year, Transportation Choices Coalition joined with more than 60
other organizations to form the Streets for All Seattle campaign. The
campaign's goal is for Seattle to join with a growing number of cities
nationwide working to make walking, biking, bus, and rail the easiest ways
to get around town.

Just this week, the Seattle City Council approved the creation of a
Transportation Benefit District, which will allow the city to formulate a
strategy for addressing it's changing transportation needs, including
funding mechanisms to make walking and biking safer while helping build a
transit network that makes it easier to live without the expense of driving.

WAW4k5Hqhfy02> here to send an email to the Council thanking them for their
support for Seattle's Transportation Benefit District and to provide ideas
and stories for how the City can make it easier and safer for you to bike,
walk, or ride transit for your daily transportation needs.

Finally, save the dates and stay tuned for more details on three crucial
budget hearings where you can make your voice heard in support of
transportation choices in Seattle. Every voice needs to be heard on the
evenings of September 29, October 13, and October 29.

Thank you for your support! Together, we can change transportation in
Seattle and create the city we want for our future.
