[nfbwatlk] Convention Reflections

Well, I've been off list for a while, as I forgot to enable my message
delivery after convention.

Just a quick note to see if anyone has any convention reflections that
haven't been posted yet. I for one had a great time. I think this
year's convention was probably one of my favorites. I have been to 36
of them, and this year more things went right, and nothing was out of
whack at all. I actually did "recharge the batteries" as many people
have said about conventions. Some years, I come home with little or no
reaction to the activities that always fill the days. But this year, I
just liked pretty much everything that was done. The banquet speech was
good, the Presidential report was excellent, the division and committees
were informative, and I really enjoyed catching up with a lot of old and
new friends on a day to day basis down there in Dallas. The weather
wasn't really too bad, all things considered. Texans told me this is
one of the cooler beginnings to July they've experienced in a while.

And, maybe because I was on stage so much this year, I thought the
plenary sessions went very well, and President Maurer kept things moving
pretty much on time. I am sorry I didn't get to talk with as many folks
from Washington state as I usually do, and I'll have to try to remedy
that in the coming months.

Anyway, this not so quick note is just a beginning for me. Anyone else?
