Howdy Ben,

Were Shane and Amy Buresh there? Was Amy the National rep?

She would be fantastic for a Washington rep...someone new with fresh ideas.

Subject: [nfbwatlk] Back From Colorado Convention!

Hi everyone,

I was in Denver last week for some work, so decided to stay around for
the NFB of Colorado convention. It was an extravaganza! I'm not
exaggerating. There were over 350 people in attendance during the
weekend.

The convention began last Thursday morning with an all day
"possibilities fair". There were seminars and break out sessions for
seniors, students, and sessions on employment, technology, etc. The
convention lasted through Sunday at 11:47 (Am>.), along with a
suspension of the clock to make sure we adjourned on time. Scott
LaBarre presided admirably, and the many participants won't soon forget
all the activities. Many of you may have listened to the stream of the
convention. We had an auction after the banquet, and Stray Dog, a
tremendous band from Colorado and Eric Woods group, played their hearts
out during the party.

On Friday evening, there was a karaoke contest, and Labarre insisted
that the out of state guests, including yours' truly, would be the
judges. We had a great time.

Hope many of you can get to attend other conventions at some point as
well. It was rewarding, and stimulating. Thanks to all the Colorado
folks, including Lisa Bonderson, for planning and implementing a
tremendous success.

/s/

Bennett Prows
