Employment resources for state and federal jobs in
       the     state of Washington

If you were a technical person for Microsoft, an excellent transition
may be to get some training in the field of biomed.  The biomed person
is the one who repairs, adjusts, and calibrates the medical equipment
used in hospitals and clinics – E E G, E K G, x-ray machines, M R I,
monitors of every kind, you name it.  It pays better than medical
transcription (my job) but requires good mechanical skills (not my
job) and  a good brain (no further comment).  Those people are in
demand.  Don’t know what the Veterans Administration is doing in the
way of hiring now, but I know that non-government institutions are
looking for biomed techs.
