POSITION SUMMARY 
The Philanthropy Events Manager is responsible for planning and implementing
all aspects of philanthropy events and field trips with the purpose of
cultivating and stewarding donors. Responsible for planning, managing and
executing 1-3 events of various sizes/audiences each month. Duties include
coordinating event logistics with external vendors (printers, caterers,
equipment rental, venues, etc.), chapter staff, and others as needed. 

Come work on a close knit team of 11 full time professionals who have raised
more than $30 million for global conservation over the past three years. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 
Responsible for implementing an aggressive fundraising event program
including assisting in the creation and implementation of strategies for the
ongoing cultivation of donors capable of major and/or deferred gifts.
Conducts initial exploratory meetings with donors and prospects to determine
capacity for major gifts. Provides ongoing opportunities for contact with
past and current donors. Moves major gift 'suspects' to prospect pool for
management by senior fundraising staff and integration into the Moves
Management process. 

Works on a variety of activities including providing program information to
prospects and drafting routine correspondence and acknowledgments. Uses the
fundraising management system (FMS) to update donor information, produce
reports, perform analysis, and track and cultivate donors. Assists in
cultivating and soliciting donors through meetings, trips, events, etc. 
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS 
? Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or related field and
minimum 1 year related work experience or equivalent combination. 
? Demonstrated and progressive experience with event planning, management
and implementation. 
? Experience in nurturing relationships with donors, volunteers, customers,
or similar. 
? Experience, coursework, or other training in fundraising principles &
practices. 
? Experience using written and oral communication, and organizational
skills. 
? Experience using technology to achieve desired results
