The below research participant solicitation is being provided for informational purposes only. The National Federation of the Blind has no involvement in this research, but we believe that it may contribute to our research mission.

Cruise wants to make sure our customers and members of the public always have a safe, smooth, and enjoyable experience when they interact with us, whether that’s through our app, in our autonomous vehicles, or just out on the street. Right now, we’re especially interested in the experiences of people who are blind or low-vision when they use existing rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft, and we're working closely with the National Federation of the Blind to learn more. The next phase of our research initiative will include a group session or 1:1 interviews. We will compensate you a $150 Tango* gift card as a thank you for your time. The study is going to be up to 90 minutes.

If you might be interested in taking part in our research, please fill out this short survey. In the survey, we will ask for your email address (so we can get in touch with you), your zip code, and a few questions about your rideshare use habits. This information will improve our research by helping us identify a good range of rideshare users. You should know that the confidentiality and security of all information collected as part of this study will be maintained using our standard information security procedures. We'll get back in touch with you in the next week to let you know if you're selected to participate in the study.
