Read on for information about our acting workshop with Marilee 
Talkington, dance workshop teaching bachata after our business 
meeting, and how to register for the Showcase of Talent at this 
year's National Convention!

The National Federation of the Blind Performing Arts Division 
excitedly presents several engaging and dynamic events, and all are welcome.

Acting Workshop
Monday, July 8, 7:00 - 10:00 PM
South Pacific Ballroom A
The Performing Arts Division will sponsor our first-ever acting 
experience class. Marilee Talkington, a professional blind actor, 
will deliver a training session covering performing from script to 
stage. Participant spots are first-come, first-served. Please contact 
Julie McGinnity at jmcginnity at nfb.org to register if interested. All 
skill levels are welcome; participants must be 16 years or older. All 
registrants please arrive at 6:30 PM. We invite non-participants to 
attend the workshop respectfully from the audience as well.

Let Us Play Us Discussion and PAD Business Meeting
Tuesday, July 9, 6:00 - 8:30 PM
Tradewinds F
Join this important conversation! Let your voice be heard in our 
discussion of the #LetUsPlayUs campaign, representation in Hollywood, 
and integration and equality for blind performers. We will plan for 
the future of blindness in the entertainment industry, and we need your help.

Bachata Dance Workshop $5
Tuesday, July 9, 8:45 - 10:00 PM
Tradewinds F
Take the first step and conquer the social dance floor with an 
introductory lesson of Bachata, A lively and rhythmic Latin dance. No 
partner or prior experience necessary; all are welcome! Division 
members attend for free. Taught bye Katelyn MacIntyre, Vice 
President, NFB Performing Arts Division

Nineteenth Annual Showcase of Talent
Thursday, July 11, 7:30 - 11:00 PM
South Pacific Ballroom CD
Join us for a night of great performances of all kinds. Whether you 
take the stage or support your friends from the audience, it is an 
enjoyable evening of entertainment for everyone! Performer cost: $10. 
Admission: $5. We will award cash prizes to three acts. Presented by 
the NFB Performing Arts Division, Julie McGinnity, President.
Please note that to perform in this event registration is required 
ahead of time. Pre-registration is now open, and you can submit your 
form through our website at: www.nfb-pad.org/registration . Please 
follow the instructions carefully.

Be sure to visit us at exhibit hall table D20, as we will have a fun 
way to make music together.
