Hi everyone,

If you're on this list, chances are you've wrestled with inaccessible
updates, clunky workarounds, and the endless joy of making tech usable when
it wasn't designed to be. This list has long been a place to swap fixes-and
we're glad for that.

We're the Access Technology Trainers Division of the NFB, and yes-this list
belongs to the division, even if we've been quiet for a while. Over the past
few months, we've been rebuilding with intention: clarifying our purpose,
reconnecting with our community, and thinking bigger about what blind tech
instruction can look like when it's led by blind educators.

A few updates:

. Our board met in April and had a strong conversation about structured
discovery, division direction, and ways we can build more support and
expectation for blind tech teachers.

. We're prepping for national convention, where we'll host our division
meeting and hope to contribute to the Rehab Professionals Conference this
year.

. We've also launched a WhatsApp group just for blind tech trainers. It's
informal and a great space to share wins, tools, and the real stuff behind
the scenes. Join us here: https://chat.whatsapp.com/COH8IK3zZzV392NZtTa5SQ

And if you're looking for more connection, we've been holding an informal
hangout series called the Tech Trainers Lounge-no agenda, just real
conversation. Watch for announcements about the next one soon.

We'd love to hear from you-whether it's a strategy you've used, a challenge
you're working through, or just something you wish other trainers were
talking about. This list is a great place to troubleshoot-but it can be a
space to teach, too.

In community,

Brett Boyer

President, Access Technology Trainers Division

National Federation of the Blind
