Good evening everyone,
This is to summon the prayer warriors and to let you know that I'll be
having surgery following the 2008 National Convention. The exact date has
yet to be scheduled as the doctor is still lining up the anesthesiologist
for the operation. Since I have seizures and sleep apnea he wants to find
the best anesthesiologist in the business to handle my anesthesia. Some of
you know about the ulcer I've had for the past nine years. It's an anal
ulcer and makes the business of passing solid waste very unpleasant! It
didn't give me trouble for the longest time, but during the past two years
has flared up with increasing frequency. The doctor examined it on Monday
and told mme what a disaster area my anal sphincter was. I've been feeling
it for the past five days!
The operation is a procedure called a sphincterotomy. The doctor removes
the portion of the anal sphincter that has been injured and will not heal on
its own. In my case it's that god-awful ulcer! At least now when that thing
flairs up I can tell myself that its days are numbered and I will soon be
free of it. It will be a time for celebration when that thing is out of my
life! Thanks for keeping Mary and I in your prayers and thoughts as we
prepare for the operation and for my speedy recovery so I can again persue
my passion, spreading our message of hope for the blind in cyber space and
have a better quality of life. I'll keep you all posted as plans develop.
Take care everyone and have a wonderful weekend. As we would say around here
at this time of year, "Viva Fiesta!!!!!!"
