Executive Director 
Statewide Independent Living Council of Tennessee, a non profit agency,
based in Nashville, TN. is seeking Executive Director.  This position
works under the direction of the Board of Directors and is responsible
for the overall day-to-day operations, including administration, federal
and state requirements, fiscal management and public relations. Conducts
advocacy and educational efforts.  Represents the SILC on local, state
and national levels. The successful candidate will have a working
knowledge of State and Federal legislation and systems that provide
services to individuals with disabilities. Must possess an understanding
and commitment to the Independent Living Philosophy and ability to
advocate for objectives that will further independent living and the
rights of persons with disabilities in Tennessee. Minimum qualifications
include Bachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred and 4 years of
relevant work experience. Qualified individuals with disabilities
encouraged to apply. Deadline for applications is October 5, 2007. Send
