[Tn-talk] Introducing myself

Hello everyone,

My name is Terri, and I joined this list in hopes of learning as much as I
can about Tennessee.  I am very interested in talking with anyone who lives
in the Nashville area.

I am seriously considering moving here, though this isn't a permanent
decision yet.

I am considering going to Vanderbilt next fall.  I plan to major in
elementary education, with a specialty in teaching blind and visually
impaired children.  I am still checking out other schools as well though.

What I would particularly like to know about Nashville is, what kind of
issues might a blind person face?
What is the city and people like?

What services are offered out there for blind adults and children?  How well
are these services organized and ran?

I am sure I have more questions than just these.  However, this is all I can
think of for now.
