Hello Heather and listers,
We'll do it! It's just too bad that this guy wasn't invited to assist
the Extreme Home Makeover Program when they designed and constructed the
homes for the blind people they featured on two programs. Both programs fell
far short of what we would have liked to have seen in a program dealing with
blindness and the blind. And speaking of blind home builders and designers
those who attended this year's national convention had the chance to hear
from a blind carpenter on Thursday morning during general sessions. No less
than Dr. Maurer in his October Presidential Release expressed his
disapproval of the most recent Extreme Home Makeover Program despite our New
Jersey Affiliate's assistance. They lost a wonderful opportunity to not only
construct a new home for that family, but to showcase the work of blind home
designers and builders.

Subject: [Tn-talk] Support Designing Blind
I have not seen the show discussed below. However, it does sound worth
supporting as it promotes a positive belief in the abilities of blind
people and presents one such blind person working in an area in which
the sighted would generally not consider it possible for a blind
person to work.
Therefore, I am passing this on for your consideration.
I hope you will take action as suggested below.
Regards,
Heather Field
