[Tn-talk] List Subscription Problems

Good afternoon everyone,

I'm jumping in to help Shara Winton with some problems folks are having with
subscribing to this list. A number of individuals have attempted to
subscribe to this list only to have their subscription requests forwarded to
Share for moderator approval. Originally it was assumed that subscription
requested would automatically be processed with no moderator intervention as
happens with most other NFB Net-hosted lists. I have asked David Andrews to
look in to this further in order to troubleshoot this problem. This is a
matter Dave Andrews will need to remedy, but let me make the following
suggestions so folks can subscribe with a minimum amount of frustration.

    Prior to the national convention David Andrews asked me for a list of
folks who wanted to subscribe to the TN-Talk List. Since it was a week
before the national convention I wasn't sure that it was a good idea to
automatically subscribe folks only for them to return home to find their
inboxes brimming with E-mail from this and other lists they may be on. For
that reason I suggested that we wait until the national convention was over
before we give him a list of subscribers to add to the TN-Talk List. If you
have had difficulty in subscribing to this list please send your name and
E-mail address to David Andrews so he can subscribe you. He can add you to
the list and you can begin corresponding with each other that way. Dave's
