Hello everyone,

This afternoon I made several updates to the NFBTN Web Site chief among
these was connecting it to the new National Center for Blind Youth in
Science, (NCBYS) Web Portal. Although many of the portal's pages have yet to
be populated with content this will become the national clearing house for
information related to the participation of blind youth in STEM Classes in
school, and entry in to STEM Careers. STEM is an abbreviation for Science,
Technology, Engineering, and Math. The link to the page containing
information about the NCBYS, and its activities can be accessed from the
main menu as well as from the Blind Children Page and the NFBTN Home Page.
There is also a link on the Home Page to the Wallop's Flight Facility to
allow visitors to view tomorrow's launch of a sounding rocket by students
participating in this year's, "Rocket On" Session of the NFB Science
Academy. Information concerning the National Federation of the Blind Youth
Slam can be found by visiting the NCBYS Web Portal located at:
http://www.blindscience.org

    Or from:
http://www.nfb-tennessee.org/ncbys/youth_slam.php

The Youth Slam promotional video can be viewed or downloaded from
either URL given above. I'll post announcements about other Web Site updates
as they're completed. Take care and have a great week.
