MEMORANDUM

Those Interested in a Potential Internship in Radio or Television
Should Participate in WBA’s Broadcast Internship Program Survey

The Wisconsin Broadcasters Association (WBA) represents free, local, 
over-the- air radio and
television broadcast stations and the broadcasting community in the state of 
Wisconsin. Like so many
industries, the Wisconsin broadcast industry needs to attract and develop, 
as many qualified
applicants for jobs. This will ensure that the broadcast industry will 
continue to be led by
motivated, talented men and women of all backgrounds.

To help achieve this mission, the WBA wants to be a part of broadening the 
diversity and identifying
the number of persons who have a serious interest in obtaining a career in 
broadcasting. To help
achieve that goal the WBA has developed a Broadcast Internship Program. As 
part of this program, the
WBA:

• Seeks qualified candidates (please fill out the enclosed survey)

• Develops a pool of candidates for recommendation to stations that have
internship programs.

. Provides those stations with the names and qualificatios of such 
candidates.

The participating stations select from the pool for their own station 
internship programs. The
station will contact the potential interns directly!

As the program runs continuously, interested candidates are able to return 
the surveys to the WBA
office any time throughout the year. If you need additional surveys, please

As we’ve mentioned directly on the survey, note that by submitting this 
survey candidates are not
guaranteed an internship, as stations have a limited number of internships 
available, and this is a
voluntary program.
