[Tabs] NABS Membership Committee Update

Dear students:

    Just a brief update on the NABS Membership Committee, which met this 
past Monday night.  Our top priority is consolidating our membership 
directories into a single online database.  Part of the task is 
concentrating the data.  Another part involves setting up the database so 
that we can accommodate future membership.  The final component involves 
tending to the subscription requests generated from our online registration. 
A different objective is to reintroduce our NABS teleconferences.  We are 
aiming at early April to host what we feel will be a popular meeting.  More 
details coming soon.  Finally, there are steps underway to enter into and 
improve our multimedia visibility.  In addition to working with the web site 
committee, we are looking into ways to introduce a NABS podcast.  We are all 
very excited to get these projects off the ground.  It's never too late to 
join the committee.  Please e-mail me so that you can be included in our 
correspondence.  Together we'll confirm NABS is the leading resource for 
blind students all over America.  Special thanks to the current members who 
have given of their time to take the first step.  You'll be hearing from 
these dynamic individuals very soon.
