[Tabs] February 2007 meeting

Dear Friends,

I would like to start this e-mail off with a sincere appology to all
of the TABS members. This semester has been utterly crazy so far and
it completely slipped my mind that we were supposed to have a January
meeting  I hope I haven't inconvenienced any of you and I hope that
you will be able to join us at the next meeting.

I have spoken with many of you and there seems to be an agreement that
February 3rd or 4th would be an ideal time to meet. Since most of our
meetings have been on Sundays after church and have been after the
post church meal many of you have fallen asleep or have forgotten
about said TABS meeting (grins). Therefore, I recommend that we have
our meeting on Saturday the 3rd at 2PM central/3PM Eastern time.

This upcoming meeting will be an especially important meeting where we
will be focusing on state convention details, elections, the website,
National Convention details, and the currency issues. I would also
like for us to take some time to come up with some ideas to help us
solve some issues faced by some of the members of our affiliate. Some
of these issues are: dealing with the paratransit problem in
Nashville, and helping some Universities get priority registration for
disabled students.

Some of you have also told me of other Blind students who are
interested in coming to one of our meetings. Therefore, I would like
for each of you to try and get one other person to attend our February
meeting.There are lots of us out there who want to see changes made
and some of those people don't know about TABS. and what we can do.
With that said, I hope to see you all at the February meeting. I will
be making the arrangements for the teleconference soon so if you are
interested in coming and know of a new person that would be interested
please e-mail me or call me ASAP so I can make sure we have enough
slots reserved.
