Thanks to Dave and Bill for this insight. I'd never have guessed the reason
for the card. If I do end up buying time on AT&T I'll surely become more
aware of this adaptor.

Hi there,
Bill is correct with this assumption. The card included in the nokia box is
an adapter card for the MicroSD card to turn it in to a full sized SD card,
which should work with most card readers.
