Even if one already owns the phone, there is the issue of the polarizers.  I don't know how expensive they are, but they have to be carefully installed.  If one tries the 
software without the polarizers, they won't get a fair trial.  Like you, Jan, I am not aware of anyone giving a ten day trial that includes a $400 device that would have 
to be returned.
