I would think you should be able to close the shutter as the polarizers are
very thin.

	hi all, if i leave the polarizers on the n eighty two with the
camera  
in the closed position and only open when i need to take an image,  
will this make the polarizers come off?
if i leave it in a case with the camera open all the time wouldn't  
this drain the battery significantly and attract dust to the lense  
even with the case
