[Reader-users] battery life

Well I'm not Charlie but I am totally blind and use a Motorolla Blue Tooth headset. When I flip down the microphone it turns on and connects to the device. From there when I push the button on the headset it will shut off and I know the state as a result. I find it very simple thus far.

I have chosen Wayfinder but not yet tested it as my access code just arrived this morning while I spent the first two weeks just exploring the reader and the talks/phone service.

I'm curious if you can do route planning with Wayfinder from a base pc - perhaps you know that answer too Charlie?

I am wondering if you are totally blind and still able to use the blue tooth
head piece. For me, having only light perception, I ended up and took my
blue tooth ear piece back because I couldn't tell whether it was on or off.
Also I would like to hear more about Wayfinder as the GPS on your phone. I
haven't heard this program discussed very much and I am getting very close
to deciding to purchase the reader, Talks, the N'82 and possibly Wayfinder.
I would simply like to know how you feel Wayfinder compares to other popular
GPS systems.

Thank you very much,

Can't say that this happens to me being a power phone user, more than an
hour a day and sometimes over 2 if doing any conference calls or anything.
My Bluetooth is on, I use Wayfinder going to work and back so I know where I
am and that means the GPS receiver on the phone is running and I come home
to 3 bars or more.

Oh did I mention I use the reader during the day.

I guess the question would be if you have a defective battery as this phone
should be able to do 4 hours talk time if you are only using the phone as a
phone.
