Will,
If there is someone you plan to purchase the Reader from, ask them for a
demonstration. I don't believe there is a trial. Nothing is for certain,
and no one can answer all your questions, to your satisfaction. You need to
take the initiative to go somewhere where you can see the Reader, or just
buy it, based on the information available. It's a very useful tool. But,
since you do not yet have it, it's probably pretty much useless to ask about
upgrades and transferring to new phones, etc.
