Usually when you buy a new cell phone you get a version of PC Suite
on a CD with the phone, but now that I think of it, I don't believe
it did come with the n82 and the Reader. Probably because they just
included the phone because that's what the Reader works on. Some
people won't decide to actually use it as a phone.
You can get Nokia PC Suite from the Nokia website, but it would be
easier to get it from the blindsea website. I don't know if you're
familiar with that site, but it's a site kept up by a couple of very
knowledgeable guys who are blind with software that runs on a Symbian
based phone. That's what the n82 is- a third addition version S60
Nokia Smart phone. If I'm giving you info you already have, sorry,
but it sounds like you're pretty new to the world of cell phones. I
was there about a year ago so I remember trying to get an
understanding of how things work. I'm still learning, too. The
blindsea website is
http://www.blindsea.com
You will look under the link for third addition- third party software
to find a whole list of software that runs on the n82. You will need
to download Nokia PC Suite on to your home computer and install it
before you can install any of the other programs there. I have chosen
to use Talks as my screen reader on my phone so I know most about
that. If you're aren't using a screen reader to access the other
functions of your phone then I wouldn't mess around with any of the
other software unless you have enough vision to see to use the other
phone's functions. And I don't know which of the programs there will
also work with Mobile Speak.
