Hello Charlie and all,

Removing the battery is a fine idea which I roughly attempted save taht my sighted counterpart has gone and I'm not entirely certain how to manage this.  I can slide the bottom part of the outer case off and then feel a mostly flat area with a ridge area on the lower third of it.  I'm not sure how it is removed and not wanting to force it, I wonder if you have a tip or insight into the process?  I'm wading through the txt of the users guide but it's large and cumbersome and not entirely as descriptive as I might prefer.

Thanks for any further help/suggestion/clarification.
