Hi James:
Concerning your existing reader, you can be absolutely certain that K-NFB
Reading Technology remains fully committed to supporting your investment.
The Reader you have continues to be an outstanding product, and we want to
be certain that you will continue to get full value out of it.
Concerning our new Mobile Reader Product line, we will have more to say
about that on Monday, January 28. However, Ray Kurzweil has said all along
that our policy will be to offer people who have the Kurzweil-National
Federation of the Blind Reader a very favorable upgrade path. I truly
believe you will be pleased and impressed by the approach we will take on
this. However, there is no requirement whatsoever to upgrade. The Reader
you have performs very very well. As long as it meets your needs, there
will be no reason whatsoever to upgrade. If you like the new features and
functionality we can now offer with the Mobile Reader products, then you may
be among those who might want to follow the upgrade path. In either case,
you can be certain you will have a Reader we support.
Thanks, J. G.

Blind to Announce Groundbreaking New Product
Hi,
This is all well and good but what will happen to those of us who have
had our readers for less than a year? Are we stuck with what we have
or is this product designed to do something different?
I hope this is the case because this stuff is expensive enough for us
to not have to upgrade it every five minutes <grin>
Best
