[Reader-users] help re-calibrating reader?

Along the lines of this, why didn't they make more of the B-model (which
happens to be the one I have), and which does in fact have a reset button on
the left-hand bottom edge, and which doesn't as such need to be recalibrated
since if it stops working/runs completely flat (then after charging it), you
merely push that reset button, and after the reset/restart, it works fine
again?
I hadn't realised that there was even another model when I bought mine, so I
suppose I was just lucky (especially since I literally know of one other
reader in my country so far), so it would be almost impossible to find
someone with any experience recalibrating them this side, but anyway...
