I think that's an unfair comparison. If I trade my car in for a new model, I 
don't count the original cost of the car I'm trading in towards the cost of 
the new car.
The cost of upgrading is really $1,100 compared with more than $2,000 for a 
new user. It's a given that there's a cost to being an early adopter, but 
you've also been able to enjoy the reader for the past year and a half where 
others will just now be joining in.
