[Reader-users] new reader accuracy

Will there be a stand made for the new reader like the old one? I'm kind of
dismayed that I dished out the $150 for a stand when it isn't usable for
anything else. I wonder if a small tray could be purchased (cheaply) that
would allow the old stand to be used with the mobile reader.
Don't get me wrong -- I like the stand, just the price that bugs me.

Hello Pam and Tracy. My memory of what Mr. Gashel said was that the 5%
difference in accuracy could not be generalized to say that the classic
reader is better or worse than the new mobile reader. He said that in some
situations the classic was superior, and in others the mobile was. I
believe that Dave mentioned on this list that the company is developing a
new training sheet so that a person can practice taking shots with their new
reader and get information about any problems they have in focusing the
camera.

To recap, my sense was that accuracy is generally the same, and the decision
to stay with one's current reader or purchase a new unit should not be made
on the basis of the accuracy of the respective readers.
