What you say makes sense, and will maybe ask Jamal through the 
blind-programming mailing lists what the chances are.

Also, in the old days, I know there was at least one small utility app that 
would sort of try to scan/work out the structure of an XML document by 
scanning some instances thereof since in most cases, the structure should be 
represented even if there isn't too much content.  Will see if I can find 
one of those old apps since it's been a while since I actually did too much 
with XML itsself as opposed to just using the programming interface to 
'read' it.
