[Reader-users] File Conversion Application Specs (was question about knfb reader files)

Jacob,
1. How much would you object to the restructuring having to be done on the PC? For the mobile model, it would be extremely possible to have this as an application that runs on the phone, but given how *MUCH* of the classic unit is taken over by the KNFB Reader application, I can't see a feasible way for a third party to write such an add-in.
2. How much structure would you want created in the KNFB Reader output file? I'm thinking that, for instance, converting from a text file would have hard returns treated as new paragraph boundaries, and pages broken at, say, 54 lines (could be configurable), whilst adding this as a "save as" file type in Word (I *THINK* that's doable) would allow as much transfer of formatting information as existed in both the KNFB Reader application and Word.

Along these lines I still want to know if it's at all possible to generate
Reader documents from other types like text files, docs etc. etc. since it
would still be nice to be able to put other eBooks onto it, but with some
form of structure since when I just put text file versions of eBooks on I
have to first split them into chunks in order to 'navigate' through their
structure etc. since around the only thing the reader actually does do is
'remember' exactly where in a file you were.
Stay well
